China and Tibet

China is one of the largest and most powerful countries in the world. It is been said that people want to boycott the Olympics because of human rights in China. As when the Olympics were given to China they promised that the human rights would improve by the games. images.jpg CHina flag.jpg Chinese government believe that Tibet's economy would suffer if Tibet went independent again. tibetan flag.jpg China Tibet and The population of China in 2005 was 1.30756 billion. Thousands of Tibetans walk over the harsh conditions of the Himalayas to get to India to escape the Chinese police and government. Many die or get arrested by the police on the way. Many government officials from around the world are re-thinking about going to the Olympics because of human rights in China. China is a cummisst government which means that you are not allowed to speak out aganst the government if you do you could be charged as much as a death penilty. Monks and other Tibetans have staged a lot of protsests as they belive Tibet is 'not free.' The Chinese government does not agree. Lots of people have been arrested because of this. The main religion in tibet and china is Buddism, it was started by an Indian prince. Their spiritual leader is the Dalia Lama.
